Today’s Queensland State Budget, tabled by the Miles Labor Government to increase funding of 1.9M in 2024-25 to continue the Social Enterprise Jobs Fund (SEJF) and support the Queensland Social Enterprise Council is a welcome announcement for the sector.
Cyber Security
The government is also providing additional funding of up to $10 million, held centrally, over three years from 2024-25 to develop and implement cyber security infrastructure for small to medium enterprises, bringing the total allocation to $15 million. This also forms part of the government’s total investment of over $250 million over three years under the Queensland Small Business Strategy 2024-27.
